Tell us about you, where you work, and your content marketing history!

I work at The Hershey Company, writing promotional and product content for our eCommerce business.

I write everything from banner ad content to informational copy, as well as managing our photography and creative.


What prompted you to register for CMC?

I am looking at incorporating a new and improved content strategy for our team and was in need of a great place to help me kick that off my ideation process.


How did you convince your boss?

My boss, being the supportive guy he is, actually forced me to select a conference to attend this year!

So, there was little to no convincing. He was also pretty excited about the superhero theme!


What speaker and session(s) are you most looking forward to?

I am most looking forward to the Content Strategy Masterclass as well as the SEO Masterclass!


What is your major 2017 marketing goal(s)?

My major 2017 marketing goal is to improve conversion through efficient and effective content; whether that is new and fresh content on a quarterly basis or simply upping our SEO game.


What is one thing you’d like to know about Boston before heading here in April (food, drink, must-sees)

I’m a frequent Boston visitor (my sister lives in Cambridge), so I’ve already got my favorite North End dinner spot, my favorite book stores, and a healthy understanding of the Logan Airport!


What has been your favorite conference to date and why?

This will actually be my first content conference, so I’m looking forward to the expertise!


What is the best conference swag you’ve received?

A FitBit Charge!


If you could give one piece of advice to a speaker, a sponsor, and a conference host, what was they be?

Be lively and excited about your topic! There’s nothing worse than a boring speaker who stands in one spot the whole time!


What’s your top conference networking tip?

Don’t be shy! Introduce yourself to everyone, you never know who will have that magical piece of advice to set your plans in motion.


Anything else?

I’m just excited to see what the conference brings! As I said, I’ve never been to a content conference and I’m pumped to be attending three days of workshops and speakers who have sessions catered to every aspect of my position here at The Hershey Company.

I’m hoping to get a lot out of the experience!
