Next in our speaker interview series is the dynamic Nancy Harhut, CCO of the Wilde Agency.

Nancy had the top-rated session at CMC 2016, and has since taken the stage at some of the most prominent marketing conferences within North America (Content Marketing World included!)

What special skills and superpowers do you have and where did you get them?

The Caped Persuader is the Invincible Convincer. Her words compel, convince, prompt and persuade. With the power to immediately attract your eyes, her copy gets inside your head and makes you do her bidding.

Begin to read and there’s no turning back. You’ll be helpless against the urge to act. You’ll sign up and download. You’ll try, buy and buy again.

The Caped Persuader wields words with the skill of a decision scientist, shooting into your subconscious to trigger behavior that’s automatic and instinctive.

You may think you’re in control, but it is the Caped Persuader who’s engineered your response. She knows the words to use and the order to use them in.

You’ll believe the decision is yours. But that’s only because the Caped Persuader knows your brain better than you do.

What are your favorite content marketing weapons (tools) that help you win the battle?

The Caped Persuader’s favorite content marketing weapons take the form of content itself:  social science books, behavioral economics research reports, and neuromarketing blog posts.

To keep her superpowers sharp, she consumes large quantities of these, along with fielding proprietary research and in-market tests.

She also commandeers heat mapping and eye tracking tools to help win the battle.

Who is your arch-enemy and how do you recommend they be conquered?

The Caped Persuader’s arch-enemy is The Poison Pen. This villain’s m.o.?

Spew useless content everywhere, exhaust readers as they search for value … and bore them to death.

The Poison Pen is powerful and pervasive. But he can be stopped.

Targeted, relevant, and useful content created with the persuasive superpower of decision science will always prevail.

A frequent speaker at industry conferences, Nancy’s shared her passion for persuasion with audiences from Moscow (as the only American on the speaker’s roster) to the U.S. Department of Defense (twice).

Along the way, she’s been named NEDMA Direct Marketer of the Year, Ad Club Top 100 Creative Influencer, OMI Top 40 Digital Marketing Strategist, and a BostInno “50 on Fire” honoree.

Prior to Wilde Agency, Nancy held senior creative management positions with Hill Holliday, Mullen and Digitas.

She and her teams have won over 175 awards for digital and direct marketing effectiveness.
