If anyone can “convert” you to the wise ways of online content marketing, it’s Tim Ash. He’s the head of a wildly successful strategic conversion rate optimization agency and author of two best-selling books on landing page optimization. Among his oodles (that’s a technical term) of marketing and speaking credentials, Forbes considers him a Top-10 Online Marketing Expert and Entrepreneur Magazine calls him an Online Marketing Influencer To Watch.

We can’t wait to tune into what he has to say at CMC18. But first, just a taste:

Q: What excites you most about presenting at CMC18?
A: CMC always brings together a very dynamic group—both audience and speakers. There is a real spirit of sharing and learning throughout the whole event.

Q: Why is NOW the time to master content marketing?
A: Traditional “greedy marketing” is about pushing someone to make the decision that the company wants. Those overt tactics do not work on increasingly media-savvy consumers. At its core, content marketing is about service. If you are genuinely trying to help people by educating them, they will value that.

Q: What does it take to connect with customers today — and how can great content do that?
A: You have to address the whole customer journey. That means you have to help people early on in the process—even if you can’t immediately make money off of them. Answering questions like “Is this right for me?” and “What are the important things to consider before making this decision?” is often the key.

Q: If there was just one thing you could convince all content marketers to do, what would that be?
A: Stop cranking out content on an editorial calendar and focus on more durable “evergreen” content that supports the complete customer journey.

Take a minute to learn more about Tim and then register for CMC18 so you can attend his Conversion Rate Optimization Masterclass (May 2, 8:00am – 12:00pm) and his The Four Pillars of Building Trust and Driving Performance Online session (May 4, 10:20am – 11:00am).
