Michelle is a veteran marketing strategist who has worked in both agency and in-house roles on behalf of public and private businesses, as well as mission-driven organizations. Michelle is a quick study and ambidextrous, having caught the digital wave early in her career. A gifted manager, Michelle has built a team experienced in design, content development, media planning and buying, social strategy, website development, mobile, email marketing and analytics. All integrated and digital campaigns begin with client listening, research, and a clear strategy.

Over the past five years, Michelle has built SM&’s digital and creative department from the ground up, creating the systems, developing the agency’s team, establishing standards and instilling an integrated point of view across all of the agency’s work. She brings a strong creative sense, and a clear communications style and voice when counseling clients how to build integrated strategic programs that effectively leverage their budgets across all platforms. Michelle ensures that client goals are being met across the agency and the quality of work meets our highest standards.

Prior to joining SM& Michelle was at Propel Marketing, a GateHouse Media company. There she oversaw a portfolio of 100 social marketing clients pursuing integrated strategies including Good Brothers Dodge & Ram, Dan’s Chrysler Jeep Dodge Inc., CarQuest, Foreign Motor Cars, Ayers Collision and more. She also managed a team that created and optimized content for different platforms, curated clients’ social networking profiles, and analyzed metrics.

Before that, Michelle was a Digital Strategist for WNEU Telemundo in Boston. Earlier in her career, she worked in Los Angeles at leading talent agencies, including William Morris Endeavor (WME) and International Creative Management (ICM). She also worked in branded entertainment negotiating product placement opportunities for brands such as Volkswagen of America, Inc. and Freightliner. In addition, Michelle worked for The Ritz-Carlton, Boston Common as part of their in-house marketing team.

She is a member of the Ad Club of Boston, the Boston Interactive Marketing Association and ULI Boston’s Real Estate Technology Council. She also serves as Social Media Strategist for the Young Professionals of the American Cancer Society Leadership Council and is a Board Member and Clerk for RESPOND, Inc. Michelle is a frequent speaker at national public relations industry events discussing trends and strategies for digital and social media.

Michelle has a bachelor’s degree in marketing communications and visual media arts from Emerson College and is currently pursuing a master’s in marketing.
